• Paris illuminations (1h30): Magical
and magnificent by night, a drive through Paris and its beautiful illuminated
buildings should not be missed by any visitor to the capital.
• The Grand Louvre Museum (3h):
Our famous Grand Louvre walking tour begins with a stroll through the
commercial area of the Louvre museum. The visit continues inside the
museum where our guide presents various areas such as the medieval fortress,
the modern pyramid, the Egyptian department and the most reputed works
such as the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci.
• Orsay Museum (3h): This magnificent
museum, located in the old Orsay railway station built in 1900, is dedicated
to all forms of artistic expression: painting, sculpture and photography
of the 1848-1914 period. The era of the impressionist painters is particularly
well represented with the masterpieces of Manet, Monet, Renoir, and
Degas... Admire the delicate brush strokes of Renoir, the serious self-portrait
of Van Gogh, the radiance of a Monet landscape amongst other artisitic
marvels.
• Versailles Palace and Trianons (Full
day): Versailles is more than a palace surrounded by beautiful
gardens. It also has a huge park where one can discover two small castles
named Grand and Petit Trianons, former summer residences for the Kings
who loved to rest and forget about the "Etiquette" of the
Court.
• Fontainebleau and Barbizon (5h):
The Fontainebleau palace, lavishly built and furnished in the
Renaissance style style, was a favorite hunting residence of the French
kings. The apartments occupied by Napoleon have recently been restored
and are included in our tour. Barbizon has been known as an artistic
center since the l9th century when Jean-François Millet and Robert
Louis Stevenson lived there.
Partners are invited not to organize
social events at the same time of these official events, and generally
to ask the Secretariat for all information related to the social programme.
