![]() SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM STRUCTURE The Conference is a forum for physicians and health professionals with special expertise or interest in papillomavirus infections, lower genital tract diseases, cervical cancer screening and prevention. Advances are highlighted through the presentation of scientific research, education and training innovations, practical issues, organizational and management models. The scientific format of the congress has four directions :
Within each theme, the program committee has identified several important issues. Each topic is covered by Plenary Sessions (PS), Scientific Sessions (SS), Symposia (S), Free Communications (FC) and Poster Sessions. Precongress Scientific Events will include Training Courses (TC) and Seminars (SEM).
In addition to the regular conference program, EUROGIN 2006 offers attendees interactive training courses which are designed to provide new educational strategies and skill-building learning experience for participants. Gynecologists, dermatologists, cytopathologists, oncologists and research scientists will be able to attend post-graduate training courses. (HPV infection and vaccines: from science to practice, colposcopy course, basic and advanced course on vulvar diseases, update on cytopathology, molecular markers, gynecological imaging, STIs and office gynecological procedures.. Because of attendance limitations, early registration is strongly encouraged for the training courses as reservations are made on a first-come first-served basis. Registration can be made on the form included with this brochure. Reservations will only be accepted with a completed registration form and full payment (Parts A and B).

Organized as a plenary session, this is one of the major events of the congress. The Experts’Conference will report on the conclusions and recommendations of the EUROGIN experts’meeting devoted to the global challenges of cervical cancer prevention. This session will present the final report on the perspectives of applying the latest innovations and new prevention stategies to the field of cervical cancer prevention.
Plenary Sessions will include lectures that provide a broad overview and timely summary of advances in various areas by both pre-eminent physicians and pioneers in the discipline that are of interest to most participants.
Symposia , hosted each day in the late morning and early evening, will be focusing on recent scientific findings and future developments in the field and emphasis on these areas where the discipline is moving or changing the practice.
The parallel scientific sessions will begin with introductory lectures by the session chairs, followed by presentations of selected abstracts for oral delivery. Presentation of new data on various topics provide broad coverage of the scientific sprectrum and ensure that everyone will find topics of interest. The overall program includes 32 Scientific Sessions.
Selected submitted papers will be displayed in the Exhibit Hall for meeting attendees to view at their leisure form 8.00 to 7.00 p.m.
The purpose of this grant is to promote research in the field of HPV infections as a tribute to one of the pioneers in HPV research. Original studies will receive awards or research grants. EUROGIN prize for the best proferred paper and poster: 1500 Euros EUROGIN research grant: 3000 Euros
For the training courses, EUROGIN will provide participants will the following educational material (at no extra cost) : program booklet, abstract book, monographs, conclusions of the experts’meetings, CD Roms. Publications, booklets, syllabuses, CD Roms, slide kits and videos will be available to congress participants at reduced rates.
The conference is targeted at Gynaecologists, Cytopathologists, Dermatologists, Virologists, Microbiologists, Oncologists, Epidemiologists, Directors of Screening Programs seeking to improve clinical outcomes related to cervical cancer, human papillomavirus, genital infections and neoplasia.
An extensive industrial exhibition is planned to allow manufacturers to show their latest developments and products. Representatives of various organizations will be available to discuss their activities and products in the Exhibition Hall.
The official language of the congress is English. However, the Progin Conference on April 26, will be in French only. |
