First European Women's Health Award
The first Women Against Cervical Cancer (WACC) Forum
will convene together health care professionals at all levels,
to forging a global network to provide health education to women,
ensuring that relevant information reaches appropriate populations
and cervical cancer prevention programs become operational where
most needed.
Health professionals active in scientific societies, patient associations, governmental and non-governmental organizations, research institutions, health communication agencies, and media are cordially invited and most welcome.
I am delighted to announce that, on the occasion of this Conference, during the WACC Forum and in collaboration with the Club Europeen de la Santé, the first ever European Women's Health Award will honour women's groups for their efforts in order to increase women awarness of cervical cancer prevention.
Submissions for the award are to be projects for implementation
in the European territory and - in this first year - will concern
campaigns to improving cervical cancer prevention. These projects
shall relate more particularly to educational work improving,
directly or indirectly, women's level of cervical cancer awareness
and knowledge. Particular attention will be given to associative
projects which encourage the involvement of young women and
/ or their mothers, and which could easily be transferred to
other countries.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that the
applications for this award are open. The submissions shall
be addressed to: Mme Dominique Dupont, Club Européen de la Santé,
49, rue Galilée, 75 116 Paris, France, and / or sent by e-mail
to: m.boivin@affinites-sante.fr
by midnight of 30 September. A group of independent top experts
from European countries will select the winning project(s) by
15 October 2008.
I very much look forward to this unique award in the very near
future.
Yours sincerely,
J. Monsonego
