European Research Organization on Genital Infection & Neoplasia (EUROGIN) aims to promote and develop research, training, screening, prevention and information concerning genital infections, pre cancers and cancers in women.
To this end, the first Women Against Cervical Cancer (WACC) International Forum is organized to provide an in-depth overview of current scientific advances in the field of cervical cancer control and to address the ongoing health education needs of the public about HPV and cervical cancer.
During the WACC International Forum, EUROGIN will present the first ever EUROGIN Award to an International Patient Association. The EUROGIN Award is a 5,000€ grant that will assist a project or action seeking to promote cervical cancer prevention. Please note that particular attention will be given to projects that allow for the direct involvement and participation of women in the initiative.
Interested candidates must submit a proposal outlining the project. Submissions must include a file of 5 to 6 pages describing the location of the project (country), the purpose, objectives, and anticipated outcomes as well as an estimated budget.
The EUROGIN Jury, which is composed of women’s health experts, will carefully review all submissions and will select the winning project. The winning project will be selected before the commencement of the WACC International Forum. Candidates will be notified of the outcome by mail.
The successful project will receive the first half (2,500€) of the grant at the WACC International Forum on November 12, 2008 and the second half (2,500€) will be awarded upon project completion.
All project submissions must be received by midnight October 31, 2008 and should be sent by email to Ms. Jeannine Soulié, EUROGIN, email: admin@eurogin.com |
