AUTHOR'S INSTRUCTIONS

Deadline for submission of Abstracts : January 20 1999

Important: The EUROGIN 2000 Scientific Committe would like to encourage authors to submit their abstracts through the EUROGIN web-site, which hosts an electronic abstract submission form.

• Abstracts must be submitted either through the web site or using the enclosed Abstract Form (FORM C)
• Abstracts will not be considered unless accompanied or preceded by payment of the presenting author's meeting registration Fee.
• Photocopies of the Abstract Form cannot be accepted as originals.
• Additional Forms can be obtained from the Congress Secretariat.
• Abstracts should be typed on the Abstract Form in English.
• Abstracts will be selected by each Theme Leader and presented in Scientific Sessions or Poster Sessions. Abstracts accepted for presentation will be printed in the Meeting Proceedings in exactly the same form and condition submitted by the Authors. Authors whose abstracts are accepted for oral presentation should prepare ten minute presentations while those presenting posters will be assigned specific times for poster discussions.

PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Please use a laser printer or letter quality printer.
Use n°1 interspace between lines and use full width and lenth of rectangle.

2. Type the title in capital letters at the top of the rectangle.

3. On the next line, type and underline the presenting author's name and initials, last name first. Then type other author's names and initials, last name first. Institutionai affiliation, city and country are required.

4. Clearly indicate the nature of the investigation with:

• A statement of the purpose of the study.
• A statement of the methods used.
• A summary of the results, presented in sufficient detail to support the conclusions.
• A statement of the conclusion reached.

5. The complete abstract must not exceed the redangular frame. Practise on plain paper first, within a frame of 15 cm x 22 cm.

6. Simple tables or graphs may be included if they fit within the Form.

7. Do not erase. Do not fold the abstract reproduction Form.

8. Before mailing, review your abstract form once more to ensure that your submission is correctly prepared.
Text shouid not contain any smudges, errors or corrections.

9. You may send the original form and 4 photocopies by mail to the EUROGIN Scientific Secretariat address before December 30 1999 at the latest.

The final decision of the Program Committee concerning acceptability for presentation and publication will be mailed to the address given on the Abstract Form by January 30 2000.

Texts submitted should respect the above-mentioned layout.

• The file is to be saved in RTF (rich text format) or WORD format.
• File name must include author's name, eg. Smith.doc.

A printed copy of your abstract must also be sent by mail to serve as a reference.
