Training Courses and Workshops

For clinicians, pre-congress courses aim to provide educational strategies, acquisition of skills and an update of expertise in line with the aims of Continuing Medical Education. This should enable participants to integrate into their clinical practice, the terminology, basic and advanced principles of instrumentation, normal and abnormal colposcopic patterns as well as diagnosis and management of cervical and vulvar diseases.
For
pathologists and virologists, the course comprises a comprehensive introduction to cervical cytopathology, terminology, laboratory quality standards, normal and abnormal patterns of cervical cytology with both conventional smears and liquid based cytology. Case studies of cyto-histological correlations and HPV-testing applications will be presented.
Each course is followed by a workshop, an interactive "touch pad" session for course participants. The faculty will present and discuss cases of cervical and vulvar diseases, to which the audience will attempt to find the correct diagnosis and management practice.
